A path thought through with production

At Arfem, sustainability is not a separate heading beside the production line. From our 11 MW solar plant and closed-loop water treatment to natural-gas-fired lines and recycling-compatible consumables, every step we take answers the same question: will this facility still be producing with the same discipline ten years from now?

Since 2011, we have not measured investment decisions by tonnes and square metres alone. Energy, water, waste and the safety of our colleagues are weighed together. With a vision of clean environment, clean production and clean distribution, we aim to grow our production strength alongside environmental responsibility on our journey from Diyarbakır to world markets — treating sustainability not as a reporting period, but as part of every investment decision.

Where we focus

Energy

With the solar plant on our covered production area, we generate a significant share of the site’s electricity ourselves. Meeting our facility’s energy needs from renewable sources is part of our long-term industrial investment.

Water

Water used in our treatment plant is purified and returned to the process. By managing it in a closed loop without discharge, we reduce both water waste and environmental load.

Production and materials

Natural gas, filtration and recycling-compatible consumables are part of how we operate. We run surface treatments to Qualicoat and Qualanod standards and verify our processes through independent audits.

People and safety

With more than 700 colleagues in production, we prioritise occupational health and safety and run training and seminars to build environmental awareness.
